Of course, if I can just keep my house clean and have it be pretty to me, I will be a happy girl :) One can dream, right? What are some of the items on your wishlist?

My Overlays:)

I am about to share with you one of my favorite finds in working with a client! All of us have been on a budget at some point or another. Luckily there are all sorts of places to buy furniture that is stylish and inexpensive, but I believe my favorite store for this is IKEA. I LOVE it. They have such a large selection, clean modern look, and you can't beat their prices! Sometimes however, clients need a little style and personality to their IKEA {or more simple} pieces. Enter: myoverlays.com! These are decorative overlays that add a little spice to your furniture, and they have many templates specifically for IKEA items! You can also create custom ones:) And the best part is: they are pretty inexpensive if you ask me! Enjoy:)

Isn't she lovely?

Meet my new little niece Stella Cleo Thompson:) She is perfect in every way! I will be featuring this little one's nursery in a few weeks once her mom feels better and we can apply the finishing touches:) Be sure to check back! Meanwhile, I will be snuggling her as often as possible! I am one happy auntie:)

{say it}

I absolutely love wall art around a home. It adds so much color and personality to a space, especially when it is unique and really speaks to the family's values, personality and relationship. Etsy is full of these wonderful prints! Here are a few of my favorite ones:) These prints can serve as such quick and inexpensive fixes for walls, tables and bookshelves. Enjoy!

Do you like art prints in the home? If so, do you like a more classic, vintage, modern or colorful look?

Here are a couple of my favorites:) Enjoy!

Kitchen Accessories:)

While putting my Christmas decorations away this year, I realized how naked my house was after! I know that happens to most everyone, but this year it seemed very prominent. As a result I got excited about possibly re-styling some accessories in my kitchen. New year, new look! I've been keeping an eye out, and so far I am IN LOVE with Anthropologie's selection of kitchen accessories {who isn't?!}. Here are some of my favorite finds:) Enjoy!

One of the best days EVER!

This past summer, I had the privilege of working with the fabulous Caitlin Wilson of Caitlin Wilson Design for a day while she was here in Utah. Even though I was only with her for a few hours, I learned so much about design. It was a wonderful experience and definitely motivated me to pursue my passion for interior design.

While assisting Caitlin that day, I also met the AMAZING Kirsten Krason of 6th Street Design School. This day was an aspiring designer's dream come true! Eventually I became Kirsten's intern in August and am still blessed enough to be assisting her! This internship has been such a great opportunity for me. Kirsten is so talented, kind and great to work with. I am such a lucky girl and have had so much fun working with such a gifted designer:)

Pantone Color of the Year

I am so excited about Pantone's color of the year for 2012! It is tangerine tango which is a beautiful, vibrant, and bold color. It will be so fun to see how this color influences spaces throughout the year of 2012 and the years to come after that! I am still drooling over the past few years of Pantone picks! Enjoy the orange:)

2012 * Tangerine Tango

2011 * Honeysuckle

2010 * Turquoise

2009 * Mimosa

2008 * Blue Iris
